The center sees great importance in student art
shows. By being a part of an exhibit, students feel a sense of self-worth
and accomplishment. We feature one elementary: one middle school
per year and high school students can enter the Joan
Brace Scholarship.
Current Exhibits
Lake Orion/Oxford Exhibit - Going on now through February 5th, local students have submitted their artwork to be on display for the public to see free of charge. In mid February the show will move to the Orion Township Library and be on display for the remainder of Feb. The Orion Township Library is located at 825 Joslyn Rd. in Lake Orion.

Kiichi Usui
SEPTEMBER 2004:
Kiichi Usui -- a Retrospective. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kiichi was a fine artist who was an integral part of the arts scene in New York City in the 50's and 60's. Kiichi came to Michigan in the 70's and served as a professor of art & art history at Oakland University before being appointed curator at Meadow Brook Art Gallery where he presided for more than 20 years. This exhibit will celebrate the artist and his many forms of artistic expression. The Orion Art Center is proud to display his works opening on August 2nd and showing through September.
